The whole alliance war thing is getting a bit boring, well for me at least as i always seem to face rather large odds So what i'd like to suggest is that for next round how about we have a series of one on one battles.
For example Enclave vs Macloed, Macbeth vs New Era, Me vs Whoever. We play for two weeks as single players with no outside interference AT ALL in the fighting and NO politics. That will settle all the old arguments about who is good and who is less good (i can take a loss if it happens...can you). Then after that ally if you want or even reset your account and start again with a different opponent (which would be novel as we'd have to do a with Farms start).
Just and idae what do people think ?? A list of results could be kept on the Making it better or support forums to keep the thread/records always available for comment.
I'm not saying atm that i "really" want to do this but it's just an idea for discussion. Think about it.

i like the idea too. if my internet goes down, i am sorry for not showing the competition. otherwise you will get it. This round i was "Alone". Pointless to try to take you down, i am out unstill restart, you are 9 and we are 2, i mean 2 regions of about your size... even if i killed spies of half of you, we have no suiciders to take the land. my internet deisappears 1 of 2 days and i spend 12 hours without food or stuff in progress. it is not my.. how you said it.. bitching, no.. not my excuses, it is reality. I am sorry for not bringing the competition here. The only reason i still play this game is that if i quit, you fuckers will be on top 24/7, and you dont deserve it.

exactly what the problem is. Anyway im glad someone finally comes up with an idea that goes along with what ive been saying, no alliances jst a free for all, but this is more organized i like it
either there's an echo or you dont count unless you play. i like hte 2 -3 man teams idea. Only i probably wont play jan (like i said i wouldnt play dec.) lol Finals week has been rather easy on me. but im still going home and wont have the i-nt so i dunno if ill have an acct, Enclave ill break off into two and three man teams. i dont have a problem allying with most people, I was going to ally with you and macbeth that one round because i was placed with you. This is just a game people get their panties in a bunch for no reason (Macbeth) Anyway if you guys figure something out for the Feb round let me know and confucious why dont you play in janurary. there are some inherent problems with a one on one senario...all of the experienced players can have pretty much the same start in terms of how much money is produced in the 150 day protection period.....how u devide these resources between mili / science / spies / hackers determines your advantage or disadvantage
most of the players will build a solid well rounded defence / offence which will result in a standoff.
multi player teams allow for players to have strengths and weaknesses to get an advantage
i like 2 person teams... 3 would work...but..... the only problem i see with 3 people alliances is that i dont think enclave has enough friends for a team...
and yes, these teams would be PACTS, no backstabbing, NO OUTSIDE HELP, no excuses....

The guys on the other team (ie us) are arguably just as good if not better, when we all play protection without problems we usually have a lead, not a big one sure because as Macloed says there is a very definate limit on your cash and it's division.
Where you lot are better is primarilly your number of top players and your teamwork is VERY good. Once the politics stage has come you will always have the advantage, and it's a whopping big one.
All bullshit aside i'd say most of us (and i only loosly include myself as a very junior member) are about even overall.
but again, all bullshit aside.... you guys could make a team of enclave, you, macbeth.... and that would rival our alliance of 3 of our choice... mebbe karn/dp/someone else can play too... who knows?

as me and gateway found out a long time ago, 3-person team is pretty much the minimum, 2-person is hard to do, but can be done, 3-person teams would just make it more fun, but any more than 3 isn't needed. i'll have time in january, but i suck at this game, so nobody wants me on there team...

the problem of a team battle was always the same, few players disagree to play in the last moment, and few suddenly dont have time to play. What happens next is no team battle.. everybody stay at the same team as before.
all we don now is talk nobody offered to divide teams nobody knows who is going to play as well.. and i dont know how my internet will go the next few hours)) so who knows.

Since i am not really playing this round here is the way i see teams.
First of all this 2v2 thing probably wont work. Because what will inevitably happen is one player will lose food or...something bad will happen ...someone will have to take an assessment..,.someone will get a bit too drunk on the 1st.....someones wife will recieve ims tellling her that she needs to remove her husband from teh computer.... or something else will happen and their partner will be screwed anyhow since you all seem set on this whole thing heres how i would divide teams.

DP, Enclave Macleod and Karnage are probably the best four...(includes skill and time put in)

Im williling to admit it was because I was in an alliance with no compition, But I did finish in a close 3rd. I think that meens I at least know what Im doing better than a lot of players.
I would rather have 3 person teams, but I am not gonna stop playing if that dosent happen. In fact, even I get put on no team, and have to try alone for a top spot, I would still play, just thought I would give ya some input.

i agree on the thing that there must be 2 players in each team, so that if somebody has no internet, others wouldnt suffer much. I dont care who is in my team, but nice fight would be with equal teams, i think new era made a nice team idea.. i dont know tho. dont care really much.

it is obvoius (to me anyaway which may not say much) that we need a random team selection method (this will also give the eventual losers an excuse...lol)
I would suggest that we all join one alliance in protection and have no teams until 10GD's to go in protection....the players in the initial alliance (whcich would mean no hiding cuz we would all know eachother's region name) would be split into 2 man teams based on NW...ie the highest NW teamed with the lowest, second highest with second lowest etc. That will compensate for any bad starts or food / citizen loss and should level the playing field at the end of protection.
New era im afraid you are mistaken in your assumptions of my knowledge of the game, and of my worthiness to post my opinions, as if i knew nothing or very little. Unfortunately, you were not here during the 6 or so months that i did play, which was something like rounds 3-9, in the beginning of zaraz. Im afraid you have jumped to a conclusion that you wont soon leave from, and of that matter i have no concern. This is jst to say: U r a fag. i was around i played ominix didnt play zaraz i had one zaraz acct which i quit after 3 days. If you are going to do that you may as well just not ally with anyone...because i know that if me and one or two certain people which will remain nameless were forced to ally i probably wouldnt be able to communicate with them and communication in two person teams is key. But hell what do i care i wont play Just be prepared for backstabbing. I dont believe that certain people are capable of not having the same allies as they have had...

Bingo first of all i would just build a ton of scientists and spies and hackers and try to keep my nw as low as possible and say i wanted to be someone elses ally i would just buy a bunch of iron and leave it sit . Just doesnt work out that way. i say you do a draft no whining no bitching only playing. I say everyone that wants to play posts in a forum shortly after the round starts. (Before unfreeze preferably).
Then a min of 3 max of 5 people agree to be captains. Then you figure out a way of divising the picks...then you draft based on those characterisitcs. Maybe this could be the start of a "Zaraz League" where teams remain permenant until trades occur...maybe not... but there is too many avenues for corruption using that way.
