When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens wouldn't work at zero gravity (Ink won't flow down to the writing surface).In order to solve this problem, it took them one decade and $12 million. They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, in practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing to over 300 degrees C.

It's ok if Americans hate you, everybody else hate them, lol.
The Americans are an easy target for these types of intellectual trivial points. The only reason they build these extravagent things is because they have the money for it. Although, since they are so loaded people like to try to bring them down (like with planes for example). I dont see anybody attacking France out of the blue... well except the Germans that one time... but hey, they only ended up fighting the world for 6 years... so i say damn the critics and bring on the $12 million dollar pens.
