No but seriously my name is "The Panic That All of You Fear" this round and I'm looking to give you the spanking you deserve. If there's any outside intereference we will half to call it off, but if there isn't then its all good.
What's your name this round citz?
Btw.. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE ELSE is to post in this thread. It is strictly for Citizens and I. You can create another thread to talk about our match-up in, but this thread is for our posts only. (basically every attack we make on each other will end up on here)
PS: Citizens.. I don't need to finish first 5 times in Zaraz, I've all ready done it in Ominix where there's more competition(sry I hate to say it but it's tru).

Nice hit to start it off..
I was expecting it seeing how my army was sh*t... lol
No excuses tho.. I didn't login saturday night and should have... it's my fault.
So now it's going to be interesting.. cuz u know I'm not going to let u take this victory easily.

i also have a fault i lost citizens during protection. I overslept so we both have mistakes.

Yep... I'm finished. Well I had a start that allowed for 2.2k spies, 200 hackers and 7-10k soilders but I ended up with 1.2k spies, 100 hackers and 3k soilders... lol sooo poor i know.
My interest for this game has diminished and that's why I could not provide any challenge for ya Citz. I saw my news a sec ago and I don't think I can compete with logging in every game day.. lol
I would actually leave myself logged onto zaraz to scare u into thinking i was always online at some points... LOL... but I'm sure u noticed I wasn't.
I'm glad you beat me before I leave for Halifax (Nova Scotia) tomorrow... lol... don't think I would've logged in once in five days while I was there.
I might play next round depending on when it's restarted... if it's on a Thursday again.. right before a weekend then I'm not going to be playing...

I'm reading it just now, I've read holy blood/holy grail and a couple of other similar 'factual' books, but its fictional approach is a good way of getting complicated information across easily.
Just wondered what a christian thought of its content and premise.
If you dont know what the book is about I'll tell you.
i've read that book and i know it's trying to mislead most of the bible believers. and since its not founded on truth therefore it shall not stand. Also i read somewhere that they're going to make it a movie.

yeah, tom hanks is going to play the main man. don't know how it will work as a movie. a lot of the book deals with the past and explanations. Thats easy in print, not so easy in a film.
The Vatican is like any religious authority. It has its bad secrets and enemies who are fundamentalist Christians which is what the book is trying to convey. Da Vinci was also a great scientist and the book explores the idea that we may only know a part of what he conjured up.
I thought the book was trying to convey the fact that the early church twisted the teachings of jesus to ensure they maintained their powerbase. And they also covered up the fact that he had a child with mary magdalene and understood the divine power of femininity.
Not that I'm suggesting its the truth, coz whats that when its at home.

I could argue all day about anything, especially this, but I really really dont want to get into it. Who here believes in evolution? That is one thing I will gladly talk about, because evolution is the greatest example of man trying to convince himself there is no God. If anyone wants me to convince you of this, please say so. otherwise, im done talking about it
evolution is so obviously wrong though, and as you say, it is man trying to convince himself that there is no God. pretty pointless.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on evolution and how long life/matter has existed on this planet/universe, and why you believe darwin et all are wrong.
And what you believe to be the alternative, but I wont accept that it was done in 7 days, 10000 years ago.
I'd also like to know why you think that evolution couldn't still be the work of a creative force, albeit a patient one.
I am genuinley curious, we both come from very different belief systems I think, But as I try quite hard in life to do the right thing, by myself and others, we do have something in common.
sure, I'll tell you what I believe, I have to go to bed right now though. I'll write tomorrow.

darwin is wrong. why? until now evolution is still a theory and cannot be proven.

Evolution is unlikely because of the lack of real evidence. As a person interested in many branches of science, I can understand the logic of the theory and how genetic mutations and whatnot could cause small changes that would be exaggerated over time, but where is the proof? If you can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful, but all of the supposed "missing links" that I have seen were later proved to be fake. Plus, there would be many "missing links," not just the one(s) that leads from an ape (or whatever primate) to a human being, but also organisms leading from reptiles to birds, etc. And ok, let's say hypothetically that macro-evolution is the correct theory. How did humans all of a sudden make a great leap in cognitive function above other primates? Plus, how did the life start in the first place? The Miller experiment? It has been shown to use materials that were NOT representative of the early Earth's atmosphere, and the continuous amount of energy supplied to fuel the experiment is believed to also have been extremely unlikely to have ever occured even during a large lightning storm. Also, evidence supporting macro-evolution throughout the years has been proven to be just plain fake (Haeckels embryos anyone?).

Why won't you accept it? I urge you to truly research what you believe because it will determine where you spend the rest of forever.

Segments of the Bible, just as any other relious texts, are factual because other historical sources support these parts. The stories of Jesus are debatable, just as Buddha's mother was impregnated by a white elephant, and Loazi's (founder of Taoism) mother was impregnated by a shooting star. Personally, I believe that all these men, including Muhammad, were real and of equal stature. Their lives were extraordinary; however, their lives have also been greatly exagerated.
Link007 writes:

I also believe in evolution, because even though it may be HIGHLY UNLIKELY, if one considers how long the universe has existed and how enormous the universe is (which we cannot even begin to fathom), eventually the conditions for life will occur. The question of how consciencious developed is never going to be solved .
I am able to believe in God, (Brahman, Allah etc) and evolultion. I could explain all my personal beliefs, because one of my majors is Religion/Philosophy (the other is political science and have only 1 year remaining), but I'll stop here, because
1. I'm probably boring you or pissing you off.
2. These would be my personal beliefs that can not be either proven or disproven.
I do agree with Link007 that everyone should "truly research what you believe" because it will lead to a more fullfilling life. However, I disagree with him in that your conclusions "will determine where you spend the rest of forever" because I believe that everyone's soul/atman returns to God in the end.
These are my own personal beliefs, which according to some people will damn me, but truly feel that they won't.
If you read all this and it made you think, good for ya. If not, sorry for wasting your time, but you did not have to read this. ha,ha
Please explain #1 what evidence leads you to believe that macro-evolution actually occured and led to all species from a single celled organism and #2 what your beliefs are. I'm not ticked off and I'm not close-minded. If someone showed me solid proof that God does not and could not exist, my beliefs would change. I don't believe what I believe because I know that God exists...if I could prove that He exists, everyone else would hear it.
I am interested in hearing from someone majoring in Religion/Philosophy because most people to which I talk have very little basis for what they believe other than they grew up believing it or some similar reason (and this goes for Christians, atheists, or whoever), and I assume that you will be different.
But even more on the subject of evolution, it is a man-made theory which has had many parts disproven, and the theories simply changed to get around the facts. We are to believe that scripture is God-breathed. Scripture was not created by a man, and even if you were to argue that God actually had no part in it, the entirety of the bible matches so flawlessly (even though both testaments had several different writers stretched over long periods of time, with no collaberation with eachother,) that it is hard to make an argument otherwise. If you haven't studied how many old testament prophesies Jesus fulfilled, then you should. The chances of him just being born where he was born, to whom he was born, and when he was born simply by coincidence (as the birth of the messiah was predicted in the old testament as it did in fact occur) are miniscule at best. I too have studied many different belief systems, and using simple logic was able to come to the conclusion that God is the obvious answer. People who harden their hearts toward him and make up theories like evolution are simply trying to explain away any type of accountability for their life. How could you say you had any type of common sense while believing in something like evolution? Archealogical evidence supports many major events from the bible (including the flood) and does not support anything from evolution. It was thought that the layers of earth's crust would possibly have been made after million's of years, but this was mainly hypothesized due to carbon dating, which has also proven itself a false witness. About 3 or 4 years ago a body was found here where I live (in texas, not in my house ) this was discovered to have been a cowboy in his time, he had identification on him stating his name and the year of the issuance of the identification (1886 or so.) He was killed in the huge hurricane that hit Galveston around that time, and buried underwater. Some scientists decided to carbon date him, just for fun or to test the viability of the system, I don't know which. The test showed that he was somewhere around five hundred thousand years old, if I remember correctly. It may have even been in the millions. The water is what messes up carbon dating, which really shows that the plausibility of a flood is even greater. All evidence and logic points to the answers that are handed to everyone in the form of the bible. Its everything you need to know, and if you doubt it, look into it. I have no faith in man-made theories that fall apart, especially if they are variably true depending on whether or not WATER is present. Water, something that covers 2/3 of the planet. Tell me that's not rediculous.
And jothicks: if we are to believe that the universe is an unimaginable age (which it may well be, scripture says nothing of what god did before creating earth) then evolution might be acceptable, IF it had any kind of evidence to support itself. As it stands, it has theories that seem to be logical but in actuality they have no basis. No organism has ever actually evolved for as long as man has been able to keep records of such things. The closest thing to evolution is adaptation, which does indeed occur, but this is entirely different than an animal changing into a completely different species. And to get around this, the theory that the earth is billions of years old comes coupled with the theory that this evolution would take at least millions of years. How did they prove the earth was billions of years old? Carbon dating. And I don't think we need to get back into the flaws behind that.
there were species that undergo evolution and they are called pokemons.

you are the funniest guy out here citz darwin would be proud of how the apes have turned out.
I dont think carbon dating is how they measured the age of the earth, check out bill brysons 'brief history of everything' you'd hate it
This threads only going to go round in circles, I dont believe in the biblical god, some of you do. As long as you dont go riding into arabia waving swords and st.george banners, or paddle down to south america to see how the aztec's are getting on, I'm happy that you're happy. And as long as I lay of the chicken sacrafise and goat loving then I hope your happy that I'm happy.
I like to think that Jesus would judge a person on his actions, not his words, and in that repect, hopefully, we're all going to be okay.
Here’s my reasons why evolution is false and the Bible is true.
First off, it requires more faith on the part of the evolutionist that evolution is true than is required by the Christian that believes God made the universe. Just think about it….an evolutionist believes that everything you see today came from a rock, or aemoba or whatever, and then that whatever came from nothing. The creationist believes that God created everything, that there was an intelligent design behind everything that you see and feel. It has been proven that spontaneous generation doesn’t exist. Try completely sealing off a container for however long you like and nothing will ever appear. Things don’t come from nothing naturally. This can only happen with the supernatural, aka, God.
Evolution is not scientific. It’s far from it. Try to go back to your junior high days and remember what science is. One of the features of science is that it has to be repeatable. You can’t repeat evolution, it’s therefore not scientific.
Micro-evolution is completely possible and is in fact in existence, but not macro-evolution. Macro-evolution is where a worm becomes a fish and then a lizard and then a dog and then a man. Ok….that doesn’t happen. Isn’t one of the basic principles of Darwin that of the survival of the fittest? We can even see this is true from playing Zaraz…the fittest survive. Anyways…I’d like to see a half-mutated mouse-bat with no wings yet, but has lost his feet survive. Once animals start mutating they wouldn’t be able to survive.
So have I given you good enough evidence yet that evolution is a lie and didn’t happen? So the only thing left is creation.
Skidoo, you asked me what my alternative is, it’s the Bible, and I believe it to be 100% correct and accurate. I believe in the 7 day creation 10,000 or so year old earth. Evolution doesn’t make sense, but a creation of the universe by God does, why not accept it? The Bible has survived over the generations even through lots of persecution. People’s lives have been changed. People have died for it. Tangible examples of miracles have happened. The Bible is the oldest and most reliable piece of literature in existence. The Bible is consistent. It tells you good ways to live your life. Not only does it do that, but it tells you that there is a pretty stinking big problem, we’ve all sinned and need to be saved. Then it tells you how to be saved.
Someone who doesn’t believe in the Bible has two options after death. If that person is right, they just cease to exist after death. If they were wrong though, according to a Christian they would go to hell because of their sin. A Christian has two possibilities. If they were wrong, they would just cease to exist. If they were right, they would go to heaven. I would prefer to go with the Christian side either way. The worst I could get is to be no more, but that is only the best you could get with the other option.
Sorry that was so long, but this is really important to think about as it affects your life for eternity.
Oh, and about what you just said about Jesus juding everyone by their actions, and hopefully we'll all be ok, I don't believe that to be true. You can't just hope to be ok, you have to believe in him and have a right heart or else you won't cut it. I can't really explain it as well as the Bible can. I advise reading John to start out with, it's the 4th book in the New Testament.

if you can't kill it, you don't control it
If you think Jesus will judge people (whether by words or actions), you are admitting a belief in him as God. Maybe you should expand that by reading the Bible and find out how people really are judged. Just as kingian said (it's also known as Pascal's wager), what do you lose if you believe in God and then cease to exist after death?
I'm happy to see people like this in zaraz maybe we should all make an alliance: 'The Believers'
But anyway on the subject of the age of the earth, carbon dating was a factor, along with the layers of the earth's crust. Funny thing, though, the layers of the earth are formed similar to sediment, which is caused by what? That's right, kids, a giant flood! Whoo!
But, if faith is not believable to you, and even logic does not seem believable, then you are better off not arguing about it. I love to debate it tho, because I have yet to meet someone who can argue with logic, unless they are just being ignorant, and those are the times where I simply confuse them with big words like 'similar,' or 'associated.'
Ps- that was slight sarcasm, my vocabulary stretches beyond that, I assure you
The age of the unierse is not dated by carbon dating! It is dated through the cosmic microwave background (a spectrum of energy that is supposed to have been left over from the big bang). The Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) clarifies the readings from NASA's COBE satelite of 1992, and estimates the age of the universe at 13.7 billion years right now with a supposed 1% margin of error.
I used to have a reference article that explained how the age of the universe could "be" both ~10000 years and billions of years old. It had to do with the theory of relativity and that those six days were six 24 hour days at the time, but with the measurements now, those first couple days would seem to be billions of years each (albeit quickly diminishing thereafter). I can't articulate the point as well as the article did, so I will try to find it again.
Quote:
I don't think carbon dating is how they measured the age of the earth
Hahaha link, I was talking about this, wut skidoo said. How rediculously moronic would someone have to be to actually believe you can carbon date the universe? Despite its sheer immense size and the improbability of dating samples from the far reaches of the universe, what would they sample, the non-existant atmosphere of space? Hahaha....
And that sounds like an interesting article, I would like to read it, is it somewhere online do you know?
Yes, it was online. I lost the link to it though. I will ask my youth pastor about it because she originally pointed me towards it, so maybe she still knows how to access it.
i've also heard about the streching of days after time and how it would seem to be a billion years instead of a thousand, but personally, it doesn't really matter to me how old it is or seems to be. that doesn't make a difference in the end.
