Well thats it for S1.
Top 4 (Merry Christmas) places are well defended and places 5 and 6 (Citz and Duff) are occupied by friends of the Top 4.
I thought there was room for fun but with only two more truly active palyers in the Top10 and the rest of the players still pissing around with three hundred acres...
WTF is the point?
I will spend the next few weeks stomping pissants half my size (not fun) while having MC continue to choke the s**t out of me (I do find that this does have an amusment value)
Admin, give us an early restart and make for some competition again.
And while I am having a rant. WTF is it with 250+ people signing up, but only around 15 people actually do something with their regions.
Is it really possible for 200+ dumbasses to sign up and do nothing?
lol, all things change, a few months ago i was on the other end of the beatings, do what i did, learn and get better. As i said things change so next round i could be on the recieving end again. Stick with it, having a tough time is the only way to learn.
Ya there was absolutely no competition this round. I would have been the closest thing to competition, since I am still pretty nuetral, but considering it would have been 1 VS 5, if u can't beat em, join em. Steaminglog if ur DVDA, sorry for killing all ur crap but they voted me most popular and u were the only "threat" at that time. (You had more hackers than anyone else and were amassing a pretty good army) =-P
Yeah...I've spent this round testing how quickly sciences become a necessity...with any competition I would've been killed a long time ago. Hopefully next round karnage and deadpool come back with a 10 person alliance to kill us because fighting and losing is a lot more fun than not fighting at all (or fighting people who don't know how to fight, as was the case this round).
I am not bothered by losing.
And I know it was only my inexperience this round that let me down.
Plus, no need for apologies. I am not complaining nor am I upset.
I am looking at this from purely a competition stand point. It is obvious you have won and thats fine....Now lets even things up sooner rather than later and see what happens

and steaminglog....why do you talk about MC beating everyone? they were better than everyone else, so they won. simple as that. if you don't get a good competitive alliance ready for next round, guess what will happen again?

I agree that the round is over, both me and citz have applied to join MC's, this means that I can concentrate on learning a few things that you dont always have the time for when they're knocking at your door.
I had raised the idea of attacking Merry Christmas with Citizens, but it would not happen. i have built up a fairly trustworthy relationship with nobby, and citizens, over the last few rounds, and would not want to mess that up. I dont really know link/insane/confu, but an attack on 1 is an attack on all - therefor it was never really a plan, just an idea to stave of the inevitable NW race for the end.
Btw, I brought it up, and quashed it. Dont think citizens ever really entertained the idea.
My poin is that with friends in the game you dont want to rock the boat, even if I had launched some kind of doomed bid, and let nobby know in advance, then he could'nt properly trust me from then on.
These relationships are all across this game, you know who you can trust and you know who you can hit. If more people from 1 group are playing then the other 1 goes down. It seems rare, excuse me if I'm wrong as this is my 4th round, that there is ever an even balance.
Maybe if we all agreed to play without alliances for 1 round, and agreed not to let any players in advance know of our region names, then it might be a bit more interesting. At least for 1 round anyway.
it would just be a way of challenging anyone without breaking any friendships, plus without the security of an alliance, or the persecution by one, the game gets a bit more exciting. Plus nobody has to go on about being gang banged santa claus
lol. Only problem with that is you definitely WILL have secret alliances, you can not prevent that. Therefore they will gain an unfair advantage over those without alliances. It definitely would make the game more fun, though. But anyway if we would just get everyone back for just one round then alliances would be much more even. It used to be that there were the top two alliances that would duke it out until one had achieved victory (usually the one with the ominix gods evilone, panic, karnage, etc...) and then we had the "third party" alliance that kinda acted as a bouncer, keeping the little guys out of the top 3 alliances and trying to show the second place alliance the door :-P This was usually the EW, and these were times when 15 alliances with up to 5 or 6 people each were not rare. And these people actually tried :-P Basically what it comes down to is gaining players. I have brought in fenyx, darkone (who apparently no longer plays,) and just introduced someone who seemed interested yesterday, and i know others have brought in friends. We have to network to get more players to gain more competition Either online in forums, etc., or just by word of mouth. Thats my remedy for the situation....
it's an intriguing idea, but people would soon find out who other people are.

I appreciat that you could work out who was who in time, but if it was agreed that all friendships/alliances would be laid aside, and everyone was in it to win it, then people might well accept that as a premise and stick to it.
eg I would not attack kingian/citz/enclave/nobby willingly/knowingly. but if I wanted to win this round more than maintain a trust I would have to plan that way - I dont, I accept that I need to do the best I can with what I have and appreciate what other, better players can do.
if we decide, for 1 round only, that alliances are off, and grudges will not be held, giving everyone, I think, a slightly better chance of winning then you might play the game differently. It would not neccesarily help your cause to stick by someone who was doing better than you, but if you made an agreement with them then you could not really stick one in their back either. Better you saw everyone as an enemy, and the enemy's of your enemys as useful tools
eg: (a)is 5 places behind behind (b), (b)is attacked by (c), (a) sees an opertunity to get stuck into (b), survival of the fittest.
at the moment, the way the game has gone for the last 3 rounds this would not happen as a,b,&c are all alies and look out for each other.
I guess if more players that played came online it would provide the same result, with alliances, which would be better, I like alliances. I just dont see it happening next round.
i just dont know if it will happen(free for all). Why not give it a try?

At least. And seeing as how im still kinda nuetral I am not sure which side i would end up on.. or maybe I would try to convince citizens to re-make the EW with me :-D
