I don't think he ment that this game was all he has done for the past three years. It is possible to do multiple things in a day. For instance, I have been getting my haircut at the mall for the last five years, but I have also been able to eat dinner, go camping, work, and even play ZARAZ during that time frame.

sure, using zaraz for the odd fight is ok, and developing and army and playing soldier is ok too, but getting so involved that it has made you spend 3 years of your life playing it. that is a bit obsesive.

And out of the 3 years i've been a part of this game, about a year and a half the site was down gem gem gem...and i couldnt play a lot of the time because of school issues.

i own an IBM netinfinity Server 7100 with 2.4GHZ Xeon prosessor, and if i need to restart any specific area it takes me a maximum on 32 hours.
the server this site is on must be crap.

yeah all i did was sit at my computer for that year and a half. Ya know, not log in once a week for 30 seconds or anything. A 24/7 lock-in at my own home at my computer. You are quite the dumbass sir. And no, it didn't take a year and a half to restart, the site was shut down. Again I applaud you and your stupidity.
And there is only 1 admin. He is human, he has a life. The people who don't suck at this game learn to deal with it. Restarts have become a longstanding joke actually.

my name is ALEX HARGREAVES-TURNER and i have been a sociology student for 3 years and i am writing a paper to submit as an end of year thesis..
the paper is about, "the effects of negative conversation in a website forum, and the people or groups that involve themselves." not a very well constructed title but it says what the paper is about.
my whole class of 75 students and 3 professor's have been seeing the arguments between myself and others via a projector and they are impressed with how many people get obsessed with involving themselves in other peoples arguments. they really like this 'dragon' character- they all believe he is a "self obsessed and very abrasive individual that likes to be the centre of attention and hates to be wrong, he doesnt have the mind or brain power to comprehend when someone is being sarcastic and likes to over enthesize anything he doesnt understand."
i started of the paper by saying that - if somebody says or does something so insignificant like correcting somebody it may cause a cascade effect which results in others commenting and getting involved and using experiences to focus those feelings.
I wrote that piece 4 months before i even came to this site.
so i registered to this site and got involved with the online community and prepered my project.
i had to wait until an appropriate time to begin the project, and when the site had to restart it was the perfect time.
the first post was bait. and it was snapped quickly.
the post after that was the the catalyst.
the experiment was only to last a week ,however, when i gave my report to my professors they granted my an extra 3 weeks.
all i had to do was add more fuel to the fire and watch you basicly write my paper. one of these was the argument between myself and dragon, all i had to do was sit back whilst he proved his points and makes himself look foolish to my friends. how many post did you have to say the same thing over and over again, 24/7 this, 24/7 that, my friends thought you where an idiot.
well i hate to say this but i am going to be writing a follow up report about this and my peers are going to want to see what you have to say concering this months events.
this site has helped me achieve an A+ grade, and given my peers something to talk about.

Secondly, his "apparent" job at the "Institute of Social Studies" - you twat. There is no "Institute of Social Studies" in the UK or any of the realm under British control, there is a: Institute of Social Work and Applied Social Studies, a Institute for Social & Economic Research, The Institute of Development Studies, Institute of Psychotherapy UK and even a The Institute of Applied Social Studies, but still no "Institute of Social Studes" and i can gaurentee you that nobody who works at any of the above institute earns £214,000 a year, not even close, many are non-profit or government funded bodies.
There are very few people at all who work within the relevant field that earn close to that amount, and with out any shade of doubt a graduate.
Now before you start some cliched form of defence, i have no desire to hear it, and nothing you could or can say will at any point deem worthy of a reply, and so if you see fit you make some tragic defence on your "friends" (yeah right!) behalf, don't hold your breath for a further response as it shall not be forthcoming.
Now, how might i know so much about the departments and salaries involved? well my child, that can come to your own conclusion, all certainly shall be wrong and i have not the need nor desire to explain. What might my salary be? hah.. that you are even more unlikey to find out and especially anywhere where someone from the Inland Revenue might be able to read something!
One or two other inaccuracy's... When you grow up, you will find that no thesis are written under contant supervision, thats just the way it is.
As for have i ever got an A* - no i haven't, when i studied that tragic little grade never even existed, and i really don't have the intellectual inadequacy to need to parade my grades or iq, i know what i know, and i know you will never get close to my level of understanding.
One last thing - you are gravely mistaken if you think more A's mean more money, some of the wealthiest people i know left school at 16, and if you belive nothing else, believe me when i say they are richer than you can ever hope to be. What does make a difference in life though, is not how many A's you have, but rather what people you know.

as for me... i was away to write the social work about zaraz forums and now after analizing all the information which i got during my 3 years of playing, i took a look at this posts and decided to post some socialy important ideas:
1) maybe alex is admin? he forgot how to restart the server, but still havent forgotten how to speak under different names his reality dissolved into something new...
2) alex is childish maybe his real life is too weak for him to accept.... so we musnt laught at disabled people... how lucky they can be?

when i was to wake up for the university, i did it easier knowing i have to kill some spies of my enemies first.

p.p.s. when zaraz was down for a long time, there was no need to check zaraz everyday untill it was up again, because after it was up, admin sent e-mails to all the players.

The problem with your argument or "thesis" is that you have no actual grammatics. For a third year college student, especially in sociology you seem to have a very poor vocabulary and to boot you don't know how to spell. Now since evidently it's a type of "thesis" for college I'd like to know exactly which college and professor you'll be turning this paper into. I full heartedly believe that you are a very immature teenager do to your lack of creativity and your lack of vocabulary. To further analyze what you do would be a waste of time. You actually only provoked him because you came out and insulted him. This is something that 8 year old children on playgrounds comprehend. The other problem is only a person with experience in gaming would know what type of insults get the best reactions.
