I think that an Observational Server should be introduced into ZARAZ. I know that for the last month that I've been registered for this site I have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING (and it kinda sucks) except read the forums and guides (BORING!). Although I HAVE read the forums and guides and asked my questions on forums, I still don't exactly know HOW to play. I only know the technicalities of the game and the basics of what to do. By adding an observational server those who didn't get into 'this months' game would have something to do. Therefore, not lose interest in the game for the month that they aren’t playing. And newbies (like myself) would be give the opportunity so 'see how it gets done' and know more of what to expect. Furthermore, if there was a secluded chat and/or forum in which only 'this months' non-players could conversate about the game at hand, (statistics, game play, w/e) questions could be answered easier and 'peer' (non-player) group. Also, improvements and suggestions can be made from and outside 3rd person view. Thank you.
Why not just start playing, you can start at any time. The February round was my first round. I start playing with maybe a week or week and half left in the round and picked up all the basics. In the March round, I ended up being in 7th place networth wise and it was my first full round. You're not going to learn by reading the guides nor by watching others do it. The best way is to just get in and try. Yes, you'll mess up, I did, but after trying a few times you'll figure it out. And if you don't join any alliances there is the in game msg board for those not in any allaince that you can get help from, or you can try to find an alliance to join and then you'll get all the help you need. Either way, the best way to learn is to just go in and play.
Ok, well I'm assuming that YOU have been playing for a while and know just how everything works. Just KEEN-PEACHY FOR YOU! But for those who DON"T get that chance to play (AS I SAID BEFORE), we (speaking for myself) sortof get pissed off that we aren't doing JACK SHIahT! When NOT PLAYING, this site SUCKS! I'm just suggesting that there be somethgin for US NON-PLAYERS TO ACTUALLY DO!
The game servers aren't up for this round, thus non of us are playing and an observational server would just be more work for GEM. But if as you say you've been signed up for over a month now, you could have always joined the march round and just played. Like I SAID, I haven't been playing for a while, I only signed up probably 2 or 3 weeks before you (if you said a month, that means beginning of march, I signed up mid to late february) and I just got into the action and figured this game out by playing. Atm, we are all waiting for the next round to start, but once it does, just get into the game and try. Like I said, you will mess up, that's expected, but you will learn too. The only reason why you didn't get a chance to play is because you didn't log into the game (there is no deadline for joining one of the servers until it is done) and so you sat around for a month doing nothing. So, as I've said, once this next round starts just join and play. Until it starts, you've got to wait like the rest of us.
Oh and btw, don't be a dick. I was trying to be helpful to give you an idea how I learned to play and you go off on me like that. Grow up, seriously.
Firstly, I didn't mean to come off the way I did, I was in a bad mood and your smart-alek remarks didn't make it any better. Secondly, I joined on the 16th of March (as my profile says). Thirdly, if I try to register for a server adn it tells me that ther server is full, that technically makes it a 'deadline' in the sense that it is no longer accessable. Therefore I COULD NOT join the game adn I HAVE spent the last month doing nothing. Thank you for your input and go ride a horse.
Firstly, I don't see any of my remarks as being "smart-alek." Secondly, I didn't realize the game servers have a limit, like I said I joined really late in february and had no problem getting in, so that's new to me. Thirdly, you can say something without the attitude or the gay remarks, "go ride a horse"? If you had explained things a little better earlier, this wouldn't be goin on. But whatever, this arguement is stupid and is going nowhere. All we can all do now is wait for the next restart anyways.
